Early today, police responded to reports of a shooting outside Virgin Hotel Nashville, resulting in a man being wounded. According to sources, officers arrived on scene after receiving multiple calls about gunfire just outside the hotel.
Witnesses reported seeing a vehicle described by some as a gray car quickly leaving the scene shortly after the shots rang out. The suspect reportedly fled the area before police arrival; it’s not yet clear whether the gunfire was random or targeted.
The victim, a man whose age has not been confirmed, was transported to a nearby hospital. According to preliminary information from law enforcement, he is expected to survive. Officers from the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) are currently investigating, reviewing surveillance footage from around the hotel and speaking to witnesses to piece together how the shooting unfolded.
At this time, the hotel remains open, but authorities have urged anyone with information about the vehicle or the shooting to come forward. As part of standard procedure, MNPD has increased patrols around the area and is asking for public assistance.
